It is a basic intellectual desire to know, to understand. God puts in the heart of a Christian a desire for truth and a hunger for spiritual knowledge. And there is much in the kingdom of God we can know and understand and experience.
God wants us to seek wisdom and understanding. He wants us to study to show ourselves approved. But the answers to all our questions aren't always readily apparent. Sometimes in our studies we come upon seeming contradictions. Sometimes answers completely elude us.
Fret not. Put it on the shelf. Wait. We don't have to know all the answers right now. A.W. Tozer said; "Far better than attempt to understand is the humility that admits its ignorance and waits quietly on God for His own light to appear in His own time." If we are seeking His will for our life we will know what is necessary for today. Faith in God will take care of the future. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths."
