Have you ever thought of love as a covering? Imagine that today you discover that your spouse, co-worker, friend, enemy, child made an error that would be embarrassing to them if they knew. You have three choices -- you can confront them with their blunder, you can correct it and tell them you did, or you can rectify it and never mention it to anyone.
Now pointing out the error may be human, correcting it and telling may be self-righteous, but covering for them is loving and kind -- surely a more excellent way.
