Handbook 5 encapsulates the "summing up" of all things in Christ Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith.

Offering to God an Acceptable Service

Handbook 5: Article 32 - The Journey to Perfection

"Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show (have) gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe; for our God is a consuming fire."

Hebrews 12:28, 29

Paul speaks of his service:

"I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service..."

1 Timothy 1:12

Romans 1:9

Knowledge of the Spirit
Handbook 3: Article 34

"...I was appointed a herald and an apostle and as a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth."

1 Timothy 2:7

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing."

2 Timothy 4:7, 8

Paul urges us:

"...by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, well- pleasing to God, which is you spiritual service of worship."

Romans 12:1

A reminder: For this purpose we have been recreated in Christ Jesus!

"For we are God's handiwork recreated in Christ Jesus that we may do those good works which God planned beforehand for us, taking paths which He prepared ahead of time that we should walk in them."

Ephesians 2:10

"And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require from you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and soul, and to keep the Lord's commandments..."

Deuteronomy 10:12, 13

What It Means to Love God
Handbook 1: Article 89

"If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there shall My servant also be; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him."

John 12:26

"And I will betroth you to Me forever;
Yes I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and in justice,
In lovingkindness and in compassion,
And I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness.
Then you will know the Lord."

Hosea 2:19, 20

"And the heavens will praise Thy wonders, O Lord;
Thy faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones.
For who in the skies is comparable to the Lord?
Who among the sons of the mighty is like the Lord?
A God greatly feared in the council of the holy ones,
And awesome above all those who are around Him?
O Lord God of hosts, who is like Thee, O mighty Lord?
Thy faithfulness also surrounds Thee."

Psalms 89:5-8
